Jimeling, the king of the house

Mom and her boy! Always together....

Jim is a little over 8 years old. I believe he may be mixed with Lab. He has such a cute face, doesn't he? His muzzle is now all covered in grey, which gives him a very aristocratic look.

He was rescued from an abusive owner when he was about 10-11 months old. He went through a great deal of abuse before we got him, and it took a few years of good care and extensive training to rehabilitate him.

Jim is the reason I felt in love with the breed.....

What would I do without you,
My precious furry friend?...
Part mischief, but all blessing,
And faithful to the end!

You look at me with eyes of love;
You never hold a grudge...
You think I'm far too wonderful
To criticize or judge.

It seems your greatest joy in life
Is being close to me...
I Think God knew how comforting
Your warm soft fur would be.

I know you think you're human,
But I'm glad it isn't true...
The world would be a nicer place
If folks were more like you!

A few short years are all we'll have;
One day we'll have to part....
But you, my pet, will always have
A place within my heart.

Hope Harrington Kolb

The cutest face in the world!

Jim is now a very sweet dog. He is very obedient and so eager to please.... He is my pride and joy.

Jim's favorite activities are swimming (he even dives and retrieves rocks from the bottom of the lake), car rides (head sticking out of the window), and playing with people.

Jim was also an excellent Agility dog a few years ago. You can see him in action Here

Jim is mommy's boy, and is quite a velcro dog. He never leaves my side a minute, no matter where I am in house, and what I do.

June 2000. The muzzle all white, but still a pup at heart....
