Sue's gang

Chance with Kristy my daughter, and Mikey my grandson

When we first got him. He was 6 months old and under 25 pounds.

Kristy and I had decided to go to the local shelter to find a suitable companion for my dad. I've been there a couple of times before but never in the holding area. This day we went back. Into the different rooms we went looking at all the strays waiting for their families to come and rescue them. The second room we went into we saw Chance. He was just sitting there. He was so sad. He was so skinny. The whole time he never barked or moved. He just sat there with those big sad eyes starring at us. Kristy looked at him and asked if we could keep him. I told her no, we already had a dog, cat and bird. She started to cry. She begged me for him. She told me if we got him she didn't want anything for Christmas just put a bow on him to remind me.

I went back the next day and bought him, I couldn't resist. He had stolen our hearts. (we never did get my dad a dog)

Chance looking pretty

This is Chance again when we brought him home. I still can't fold clothes without him laying on them, only now he's huge.

Chance know at 80 pounds with Kristy

You can kind of see the heart on his side.
